Shopping!!

So, today is the day. I dabbled briefly in the Medina here in Rabat early in the trip. I got completely lost in the madness that was the Marrakech Medina last weekend. I took it all in, made a shopping list, and today I hit the Medina like Payton's gonna hit Miami tomorrow. Whew...what a blast! I shopped and shopped, and bought gifts and fun stuff for me - and I think I got it all done!!

This is Kim' last weekend in Morocco - she has been here since November on this particular TDY. (remember, she's been here on and off for five years or so - the unofficial mayor of Rabat?) She has made friends with many of the shop owners, and we visited them ALL today. :-) For me to spend my Dirham, and for her to say goodbye. It was a beautiful sunny 70 degrees today, and couldn't have been a better day to wonder the streets.
