Brrrr...

As if returning to the cold Indiana weather was not enough... After more than 22 hours traveling Friday, all I wanted to do was take a hot shower and fall into bed. So late that night after being so excited to be back in my own home, I made the discovery: NO HOT WATER.

Cathy and Todd were nice enough to come over to check my water heater. Yep, pilot light was burning strong. We hoped that it had just been 'dormant' after two months of no use, and it would cycle and warm up over night. After sleeping an amazing 11 hours in my own comfy bed, I awoke to... no hot water. :-( I had already planned to drive to my parent's in Ohio to pick up my dog. So I just hit the road, got there in record time, ran into their house, and straight to the shower. In the meantime, my wonderful dad had done the research and figured out the plan.

Dad followed me back to my house on Sunday and we jumped into the task of spending a lot of money. I bought a new water heater at Lowe's - ouch$! I'm so very thankful that dad was able to be here... while I went off to work today, dad was able to be here for the installation. By 6:00 p.m. tonight I had hot water!! Hooray!
