Musical Rooms

I decided last week that I was going to change rooms at the hotel. My initial room was on the 2nd floor... so every night I could hear the live music in the bar below me. Also, there was some sort of work room above me for the staff - that's my best guess because there were footfalls on marble all night every night, and constant running water and other annoying noises. Lastly, the beautiful walk-out patio that I shared with three other rooms felt like a security risk - I could never leave my window open because anyone could walk in!

So, Saturday morning before leaving town, I packed up and moved to the 5th floor. Exact same room, only higher. Very nice. I quickly unpacked and headed for Marrakech. When I got home today, I discovered that the internet connection in my new room did not work. Um, nope, can't have that. Sooooo, I called the front desk, packed again, and moved to my third room. I have now unpacked and settled in, and everything seems to be working properly. Hopefully I will have nothing but the sound of cars and horns from the city street lulling me to sleep. Home sweet home for three more weeks.

My new view...
