Nos encanta el sol

Wednesday was exactly what we had in mind for Spain. We arrived in Sevilla just after noon. Our hotel is beautiful, and the weather was even better. Sunny and 68, ahhhh... We spent the afternoon walking. Walking, walking, walking. We found the city center, gardens, and some of the sites.

The best part of our day was the Puerta de Jerez - a small plaza with a fountain, surrounded by beautiful buildings. We decided to get some ice cream and sit there in the warm sun and read. Very nice.

While in the plaza, we ran into our new friends... we had shared the train ride down from Madrid with a group of about 30 elderly Spaniards headed for a holiday in southern Spain. They didn't speak a lick of English, but we tried to communicate with them anyway. We were the only ones in this particular section of the train that weren't a part of their group. Were we intruding?? I'm pretty sure they thought we were nuts. As we walked around the city, we saw their group twice on their guided tours.

At 8:00 pm we went to see a flamenco show. The price of 57 euro included the show, one drink and tapas. It turned out to be a very fun experience! I'm having no success in uploading pictures or video - must be the connection at the hotel. So I'll have much to share later!
